Mould and Die

A  mould is a hollowed-out block that is filled with a liquid or pliable material like plastic, glass, metal, or ceramic raw materials. The liquid hardens or sets inside the mould, adopting its shape. A mould is the counterpart to a cast. The very common bi-valve moulding process uses two moulds, one for each half of the object. Piece moulding uses a number of different moulds, each creating a section of a complicated object. This is generally used for larger and more valuable objects. Mould and Dies or the fastest, accurate, reliable and economical way of producing any part.

This is the extended services that Win Designs would provide to any client. Upon completion of the product design we can help them to build moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures or SPM’s to manufacture the part. Win Designs is mastered in this line of activity and acquired experience more than 2 decades. We can either provide you the mould or Die design or even get it manufactured for you. We have proved in developing mould for certain critical parts which was almost impossible for most of the mould manufacturing companies today.

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is one of the best practices our engineers follow to ensure your part does not require expensive secondary operations which can often represent as much as 80% of the component cost. Our engineers use a DFM methodology that optimizes casting and molding manufacturability while preserving functionality.
